A university that gives money back?!
This morning when I checked on my credit card accounts online (as I do every morning, I must admit) I discovered a $1000 credit from the university offering my PI program. I sent an email to the program manager asking what it was for, or if a mistake had been made. I was told that since this was the inaugural session of the program, they decided to reduce the cost since they knew they were "asking a lot" of us by asking for our feedback, and because we'd possibly been inconvenienced by reporters visiting the class. !!!
As Napoleon Dynamite would say: Yesssss!

Hey that is pretty darn good!!!
What's a PI program?
Professional (or Private) Investigator program--it's a 6-month program wherein I learn about the method modern PIs use in their investigations; investigative research, interview, and surveillance techniques; legal issues; and practice management. I've long wanted to be a PI. :)
I've never heard of that before, that's awesome... get a new TV! :)
Well, if we didn't already have a plan in place to take care of our CC debt, it would go towards that. Instead, I'm getting a new laptop. Mine was purchased in 2001, is very sloooow, and has become a little quirky (charming in people, not so in computers). Oh, and it's missing the "g" key, though I've gotten used to that. :) (Superglue didn't work.)
J has been wanting me to get a new one for at least a year now. I've come this close >< a couple of times, but always waved off.
Wow, that's like finding a twenty in some jeans you haven't worn in a long time, only much, much better!
