You've got your enormous house, now how to fill it?
I find McMansions depressing. That said, I laughed out loud at this picture of a dog's room in a super-sized Boston area home. Aesthetically speaking, it's adorable. The wallpaper, the tile--it's actually a really tastefully decorated room!
If you've been reading for a while it might have become obvious that I'm a dog person. (3 posts about my dog in January alone!) That's right, folks, I'm a Crazy Dog Lady! But no, I don't want a dog room. Besides, my dog won't even come in the bathroom if I'm in there because he's afraid he'll be thrown in the bathtub. I see the dog bed in this picture and suppose the dog is expected to sleep/hang out there. My dog would never spend time in a room that had an instrument of torture--a shower--in it.
After you've scoffed at all of the pictures, you'll want to read the article, too. Thanks for the link, Jane!

Damn. I'm embarrassed to say I actually like the home in these pictures. Very nicely decorated.
But I love my mortgage, which will be down below 50 grand within the next year. And I love my $565/month payments. It's 1500 sq feet and I can't even keep it clean. I would hate to have to pay somebody to clean my McMansion.
