Rein her in already

For the price of one logo-covered "status bag*" that I would have ended up embarrassed to carry, I was able to buy two very nice purses, one in black, one in dark brown, and a nice watch.

Only I didn't stop there. I have also purchased two pairs of new chinos to replace a couple that no longer fit, and a mandarin-style top. Good thing I've got close to $100 coming from Amazon Marketplace on the 9th.

Obviously one should never allow oneself a full-on "spree," because it's very hard to stop. I wonder also if it's not due to my being a little down lately.

*It should come as no surprise that "status bag" is a Daily Candy term. I can't bring myself to type it without using quotes--they have no such qualms.
