I am not dead II

Thank you Claire for checking up on me! Any thought that I would be less busy after quitting my job was wishful thinking on my part. I will likely not be able to post until after I get to California--I'm being packed up on Friday, and flying out on Tuesday.

I've been spending so much money lately I really don't want to calculate our net worth once I get settled, I'll say that much...

I was embroiled in some office politics right before I left, which rather discolored my last week. Someone decided that since I was leaving anyway, she'd throw me under the bus to suit her own ends. Thankfully, what she said was so ridiculous that no one believed a word of it, but geez, during my last week! Academic libraries, thankfully, aren't usually hotbeds of office politics--at least, not where I was working. This is the first time I've been caught up in it. I'm really not cut out for it.
