Vanilla beans in bulk?
Does anyone recall which PF blogger posted about a good deal found on vanilla beans in bulk? I'm fairly sure the blogger was female, and I've gone through several of my favorite female-authored blogs and done searches, but I haven't had any luck.
Alternatively, if you know of a great resource for vanilla beans, please leave a comment. Thanks!

I remember reading the post, but also can't recall who posted about it nor could I find it doing some searches.
If I remember correctly the source of the bulk vanilla beans was eBay and then breaking up the bulk amount into smaller amounts, putting them into zip lock baggies (flat layer in baggy I think) and freezing them.
Hope someone out there has a better memory than me!

A friend of mine mentioned the great deals on www.sfherb.com - she specifically mentioned the vanilla beans.

I have tried buying vanilla beans on ebay. I wouldn't suggest it... The vanilla beans on ebay are from Papua New Guiena, and are like the weeds of Vanilla. The flavor is not anything like Real Vanilla Beans. They just look the same. Therefore, I would recommend Beanilla Vanilla Beans as mentioned before. We buy from them all the time. The Mexican Vanilla beans are not even comparable to anything I have ever seen. They are amazing...
Wow, between this post and the next, there sure seems to be a loyal Beanilla following! :) Thanks again for the info! I ordered my current batch from Ebay but I think I'll have to give Beanilla a try when I run out.
