This weekend's craft

I woke up around 4 a.m. on Saturday and was having trouble falling back asleep. Then, I got the idea to make over my office chair, which served only to get me all excited and even more unable to fall back asleep. I hate it when that happens!

Anyway, I decided to paint it white and make a seat cushion for it with some great fabric I'd bought months ago. I'd done nothing with the fabric because I had this idea it would make a cool apron, but really--how often would I actually wear an apron?

Here's a picture of the chair before. Boooooring!

Here's the completed project:

The pillow turned out smaller than I was expecting. I think sitting on it for a few weeks should make it flatter and therefore larger, or I suppose I could use it as a back pillow.

Since I had the fabric and stuffing already and needed only to buy the paint, this little project cost me only $5.40.

Awesome!

I dig that fabric! I've got some apron-making fabric (a clearance buy), but I haven't actually made the apron, yet.
