A workin' girl

I've been working a temporary job for the last couple of weeks--an administrative assistant/receptionist position with a mutual funds company downtown. It's a full-time gig and, after having been unemployed for five months (egad), I'm pretty beat when I get home.

They asked me on Friday if I wanted to interview for the permanent position. I've been upfront about looking for work in another field, but they asked me to think about it over the weekend. The people are very nice and the benefits are good, but I'm not quite ready to give up my job hunt just yet. At least, any more than I already have: I think the P.I. work is going to take a little while to pan out--the Northwest is apparently glutted with wannabes--and as I need a job ASAP, I've been concentrating on library roles. That's quite okay with me, as I do enjoy it. Hopefully when things are a little more settled, I can pursue the investigative angle. I have a feeling I'm going to have to do a little volunteer work first.

I have an interview on Tuesday for a library position, so please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Good luck!

If you're like me, you'll take the full-time job you've been offered and in within a few weeks or month, you'll find a job in your field of choice!

Good luck with the interview. So, how do you like Seattle? I was born and raised here and I can't imagine living anywhere else. Hope you like it!
