A thank you

I've been quiet lately, partly by circumstance and partly by design. I'm chipping away at the debt I amassed by moving twice in close succession, yet it still sometimes feels like a noose about my neck. Lately I feel I've had more to learn than to share, and so I'm once again reading other PF blogs religiously rather than worrying about posting on my own. Even if there's not much happening on my blog, chances are I'm actively reading yours.

I want to thank all of you, new bloggers and old alike, for continuing to inspire me to get rid of my debt and remain financially responsible.

Hang in there! Getting rid of debt is never easy and plugging away at it month after month can get monotonous and demotivating.

I have always found tracking the numbers to be helpful. Even if you don't share it on your blog - having a debt elimination spreadsheet helps you see how long it will take you to pay off the debt at your current rate. It also allows you to play with the numbers and see if/when you can throw additional money at the balance and see how much time that cuts off your payment schedule.

But most importantly you can look back at how much progress you HAVE made.

Good Luck and keep on getting rid of that!
